Mono2 Combi Pushchair - A Transforming Seat Unit
The TFK Mono2 Combi Pushchair is a versatile pushchair suitable from birth to 22 kg. Its combi unit transforms from a carrycot with a large comfort mattress to a comfortable seat with adjustable features such as the backrest and footboard. The stroller has puncture-proof air chamber wheels or air-filled tyres, with each having its own benefits and disadvantages.
The combi unit has a mesh window on the hood for ventilation, washable and dirt/water repellent fabrics, and a canopy with 50+ UV protection. The stroller has a disc brake for safety, two storage spaces, and an ergonomic height-adjustable leather push handlebar. The stroller meets safety standards, such as the GS mark and EN 1888, which tests for various risks and dangers, including chemical, thermal, mechanical, suffocation, entanglement, choking, and ingestion. It also complies with the EU Toy Safety Directive Testing (EN 71), with chemical requirements for toxic elements and CMR chemicals.
The stroller has an adjustable backrest for a reclined position suitable for a sleeping toddler, and allows the use of the rear disc brakes when running or jogging. One downside is that the rotating adjustment mechanism of the handlebar may not be suitable for tall parents.
Patented Combi Unit with Fold-Out Footrest
The TFK Mono2 Combi Pushchair with a pioneering combi unit (carrycot & seat) is suitable from birth to 22 kg.
The combi stroller from TFK, which accompanies your child, will protect and ensure safety in life from the beginning. The combi unit transforms from a carrycot with a comfort mattress, one of the largest on the market, to a comfortable seat. With versatile features, such as the adjustable backrest or insertable footboard, your child is guaranteed a comfortable ride.
Difference Between Air Chamber and Air Wheels
The air chamber wheels are puncture proof, as they are gel / foam filled. This means these wheels do not require maintenance, and you do not have to constantly check the pressure of the tyres before you go on your journey. Because the air chamber wheels are filled with gel / foam, this means these wheels weigh slightly more than the air wheels. Since the air chamber wheels are a “solid” wheel, there is a less smooth ride than the air wheels.
The air wheels are prone to puncture, as they are filled with air like normal bike wheels. This means these wheels require careful maintenance, and you need to constantly check the tyre pressure before you start your journey. Since the air wheels are full of air, they weigh less than the air chamber wheels. In addition, air-filled tyres can bounce gently over bumps on pavements and other paths, so that your baby feels more comfortable.
Large Canopy with Ventilation Options and UV Protection
On the back of the patented combi unit, there is a mesh window that can be opened on the hood, which facilitates the circulation of air in the cot / seat. This is beneficial during the sleep of the baby, as it ensures it is well ventilated during the night.
Dirt and Water Repellent Fabrics with UV Protection 50+
The fabrics on the combi unit are washable, and are dirt and water repellent. The canopy has 50 + UV protection that protects your baby’s delicate skin.
Rear Disc Brakes
A disc brake is a type of brake that uses callipers to squeeze pairs of pads against a disc to create friction. This action slows the rotation of a shaft, such as a vehicle axle, either to reduce its rotation speed or to keep it stationary. This ensures parents know that their baby’s pushchair can hold its position, even on a steep hill.
Flexible Storage Spaces
The TFK Mono2 Combi Pushchair has two storage spaces – one on the back of the back rest and the storage basket. You can put various items in the storage basket. For example, a small supermarket shop, your baby’s jackets / coats and essentials for baby care.
Height Adjustable Push Handle
The ergonomic height adjustable leather push handlebar is adjusted by rotating up or down depending on how tall the parents are. Mainly in lower-height settings, this way creates a significant advantage in terms of the centre of gravity and manoeuvrability on pavements and other paths.
One disadvantage could be that two joints = two weaker points, and with large loads or pressure on the handle, there is a slight possibility that a joint will be damaged. Another downside of a rotating adjustment mechanism is that it can be uncomfortable for tall fathers, as it does not stretch further from the stroller. In fact, it goes even closer to the base in higher positions. A tall person could easily kick the back of the chassis if they don’t watch out.
Safety Tested
The seal of tested safety (GS mark) confirms that a ready-to-use product meets the requirements of 21 of the German Product Safety Act. The TFK Mono2 Combi Pushchair complies with EN 1888, which is a legal requirement for manufacturers, retailers, suppliers and distributors of these products.
The standard covers various risks and dangers, including chemical, thermal, mechanical, suffocation, entanglement, choking and ingestion. It also includes tests on the durability of the stroller with a rolling road.
The TFK Mono2 Combi Pushchair also complies with the EU Toy Safety Directive Testing (EN 71), a series of general provisions of the EU Toy Safety Directive that define what constitutes a toy, outline technical documentation requirements, establish production control and more. The chemical requirements of the EU Toy Safety Directive, which include restrictions on toxic elements, certain fragrances, and the use of CMR chemicals, came into force on 20 July 2013.
Running and Parking Brake
This pushchair is designed so that you can use the rear disc brakes while you are running or jogging with your baby. This gives parents peace of mind when they can use an emergency brake when they encounter danger.
Adjustable Backrest
An adjustable backrest allows a seat to be upright for viewing, and then adjusted to a reclined position for a newborn or sleeping toddler.
