I realized I needed a better way to sterilize bottles and pump parts than standing around a pot of boiling water. I purchased the sterilizer/dryer and have been using it regularly for over 3 months (i.e. at least 4 times a week, often multiple times per day). I used tap water a few times when I ran out of distilled and it leaves a bunch of buildup, but it’s easily cleanable. Easy to descale with a little vinegar in the bottom, there are youtube videos to help.
The machine itself works well, it’s never done anything but what I expect it to do. Sometimes if I overload it a little bit, the 30 minute drying after sterilizing doesn’t always fully dry the silicone backflow valves for pumps, but it’s really not a big deal. It beeps once after it’s done sterilizing, and 3 times after it’s done drying, so if your dog hates high pitched beeping like mine does, prepare to have your dog either crawling onto your lap or hugging your legs, LOL.

So I’ve had this Brezza for exactly 6 months. This machine has been great to help clean and dry our bottles multiple times a day. In the beginning I noticed it would stop half way during sterilization and a red light would appear. After extensive research and trouble shooting I’ve discovered it’s due to the metal plate collecting mineral build up from the water, using distilled water doesn’t help. So what I do is every week I clear the metal plate, and scrub it well. Then about every other week I add an enzyme cleaner to the metal plate with water (dilute it) then with a scrapper I remove as much mineral buildup as possible. I definitely make sure to clean out all the enzyme solution leftover before sterilizing any baby stuff. I’ve been doing this every since and here I am 6 months later and it works great, no issues at all.
