The Rafi Cot Bed by CuddleCo converts from cot bed to day bed. It’s recommended to use the day bed from 18 months to 5 years. The baby-safe, nitrogen-based paint meets EN 71-3 standards. It has an adjustable mattress height and a stylish two-tone design. Clean with a duster or damp cloth, avoiding furniture polish.

Paint Safety

All the paint that CuddleCo uses is baby-safe. The paint is nitrogen based, tested to EN 71-3: Migration of certain elements. It is not water-based.

Make sure the mattress is snug in the cot and meets the recommended dimensions for safety of the cot manufacturer. There should never be more than a 4cm gap between the edge of the mattress and the side of the cot when the mattress is pushed to the opposite side.

A cot bed is a cot that you can take the sides and end panel off of, which can then be turned into a bed for a toddler once they’re ready to transition.

Cots require a 60 cm x 120 cm mattress and a cot bed requires a 70 cm x 140 cm mattress.

It’s safest for your baby to sleep in a cot, crib or moses basket in your room, next to your bed, for the first 6 months. You’ll be close by if they need to be fed or cuddled.

Choose a firm mattress for your baby instead of a soft one – they need the support while they sleep. It shouldn’t be any thinner than 8cm. Just make sure it meets safety standards – mattresses should have the BSI number BS 1877-10:1997.
